Hi, I'm Varya. Born in Scotland, and having lived in the UK and the Czech Republic, I'm now settled in Wanganui (New Zealand) with my Kiwi-born husband and our two wonderful quirky sons! I currently work as a teacher aide in a local primary school. I am the Global Mission ministry leader at Wanganui Central Baptist Church, a role that I relish, as I am able to support people who are called by God to serve Him locally or overseas. During 2013 God challenged me about the needs of women and children around the world who are being forced to live lives that they would not have chosen, as they are trafficked and forced into slavery. I am excited to be able to be part of Freedom Climb NZ in order to increase awareness of human trafficking around the world, and to be able to raise money to set women and children free from slavery. This will be my second climb.
