We are excited to take part in climbing the Coogee Steps, to raise awareness for all those caught in slavery, exploitation and trafficking. Join with us in helping to change lives through Freedom Climb. Luke 4:18 "The spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free".
All people are worthwhile & special. No one deserves to be treated like a commodity and that is why I'm taking part in Freedom Climb. My hope & prayer is that the projects undertaken by OM would be successful so that women in particular would be free from the risk of being trafficked.
Walking, and walking for a great cause is something hard to pass up. I’m eager to provide some sort of support to women and children who don’t have the freedoms I have here in Sydney.
To show support for the important work of Operation Mobilisation and help raise awareness of human trafficking.
I want to support women and children who have been affected by human trafficking.
I'm doing the Freedom Climb to raise awareness and funds to help women and children caught in slavery, oppression and human trafficking!
I believe people are made in the image of God and deserve love, dignity and compassion. I am walking to raise awareness of issues of slavery that still exist today, including human trafficking, and effect many people from many countries .
We are looking forward to our first Freedom Climb. We are excited to be a part of this inaugural Sydney walk and to raise awareness for such an important issue. A few steps from us and hoping to make a difference in some people's lives!! A coastal walk with views sounds awesome also!!
I am participating in this Freedom Climb for two reasons. Firstly, I believe something needs to be done about human trafficking and this is a great way to do something physical and to raise awareness and money. Secondly, my youth group has decided to support Freedom Climb by participating in the climbs and fundraising money to support the cause.
I am participating in the Freedom Climb with my youth group. We would really love to support this wonderful cause.
Bryan and I are happy to be part of this walk in the hope that it will begin to awaken Sydney siders to the tragedy of women and children caught in slavery, trafficking and oppression in our world today.
This is such an important issue in our lifetime, we are keen to raise greater awareness. We love Kate and the passion with which she supports the Freedom Climb movement.
I am participating in Freedom Climb because we decided as a youth group to take part in the climb to help raise awareness and funds for women and children suffering from slavery and human trafficking.
My name is Kate and I am excited to be a part of Freedom Climb. I am married to Jonathan and we have 3 grown sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law. I love being a part of something that will impact the lives of those caught in slavery, exploitation and trafficking. I am climbing the Coogee Steps on September 14th, and I would love you to sponsor me. We are climbing to raise awareness and funds for women and children caught in slavery, trafficking, oppression and exploitation. Thank you for partnering with me to make a difference.
I am participating as I believe that human trafficking is an issue that is often overlooked by those who are unaffected by it. I would like to help raise awareness of this damaging practice so that more might be done to help those who have been affected.
I'm climbing to raise awareness about the travesty of slavery and the trafficking of women around the world.
When hearing about trafficking, the statistics are much higher than i thought which is why i thought something needs to be done, and for my youth group we had to choose a project to support, which is when we chose freedom climb.
This is a great cause and i definitely want to be part of it. It also is a fun way to be active with my friends and helping people who have been and are in a horrible situation.
Good to be part of a project that will specifically bring greater hope, freedom and blessings to women and children in Bangladesh.
We can often be humbled by the pain others go through. That we're now gathering to reflect on those hardships and climb for women who can't, is a wonderful testament to where we can take that humility.
youth group event so we are all going to get involved. Its a great cause and a good excuse to be active. uts fun being with friends.
Together with my husband and children, I lived in Central Asia for almost 14 years. I saw first-hand the ways that poverty makes people vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. I'm grateful for this opportunity to symbolically stand with the millions of victims of trafficking and slavery, and to raise funds to support projects that strengthen vulnerable people and communities against trafficking.
Slavery is evil, as simple as that. We need to take a stand, raising awareness and funds through walks like this to fight it.
Fighting modern day slavery, especially trafficking of women and children for sexual exploitation, is something I feel really strongly about. I will be joining in the Freedom Climb to raise awareness and show support for those who cannot climb out of slavery without help. "You may choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know" - William Wilberforce
We'd like to raise awareness and money to donate to this cause, and by doing so we hope that exploited and trafficked people can be released from their oppression.
My eyes were opened when my sister showed me a video that highlighted the enslavement and exploitation of women globally. She is very passionate about this topic and her passion has made me want to be apart of this event. Not only to show my support but be part of spreading the word. - Emma
William Wilberforce made a difference in his day and helped to abolish the slave trade. This evil has flared up again in our day on an even greater and more pervasive scale. We want to do our bit to turn the tide!
This is an opportunity to walk with others who are concerned about this situation and to provide financial support as well.
As a family we are looking forward to support Freedom Climb and to educate our children as well as hoping to helps others in a small way for their future benefits.
