Climbers — Thousand Steps Melbourne, May 2014

I am pleased to be involved with this walk for justice.  A small way of showing solidarity with those suffering abuses of power in the form of modern day slavery.

I am climbing the 1,000 steps in October to help raise money for the Jogini girls in India. I am so excited to help the girls in need. The Jogini girls suffer oppression and some are forced into ritualised prostitution from the age of 11. Your sponsorship will help me provide food, employment, shelter and training for these girls.

I am looking forward to my first Freedom Climb.  I'm excited to be a part of this team and to raise awareness for such an important issue. The money raised supports projects that break the cycles of poverty, shame, slavery and despair. Let's believe for a hopeful future for these women and children. 

My name is Kate and I am excited to be a part of Freedom Climb. I am married to Jonathan and we have 3 grown sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law. I love being a part of something that will impact the lives of those caught in slavery, exploitation and trafficking. I am climbing the Thousand Steps on May 25th, and I invite you to sponsor me. My name is Susan and I am climbing the 1000 steps on Sunday 25th May with my 19 y.o. daughter, Gabrielle.

Due to chronic illness it might take me twice as long as others and I will need a walking aid and maybe my daughter’s help to make it to the top, but it will be worth it, if we can raise funds for women and children caught in human trafficking. Thank you for considering supporting us.
