Vinitha NairHuman trafficking is significant and prevalent all over the world. Currently, there is a lack of awareness of this issue and being a part of Australia's first Freedom Climb is a way to spread the word about this injustice. Join with me and support this cause, and be a part of those who are advocating for people trapped in modern-day slavery.

Stephanie HaleIn the last 4 years that I have been working with OM I have heard many stories of people being set free through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. But there are still many more throughout the world who are in bondage, not only spiritually, but physically through being trafficked into slavery and prostitution – a fact that saddens and even angers me. I have been interested in and inspired by the Freedom Climb over the last couple of years and am now privileged to take part and join those raising awareness and taking a stand against this evil practice. Won’t you join me in making a difference for those who have no voice?

Stacey HoganJessica, Teagan and I are excited about taking part in Australia's first Freedom Climb. With four children of my own, I can't imagine the grief and pain caused when families are broken, due to human trafficking. It's hard to believe this still happens in our day and age. If making our community aware that there is something practical we can do to help, I'm all for it!

Lou HochwimmerIf you have known me for more than 5 mins, you probably know I love to walk and I particularly like walking in the early morning when I pray and thank God for all we have in our ‘lucky’ country. Sadly, it is not the same in other parts of the world, where men, women and children are trafficked into slavery. With the devastation that has just occurred in the Philippines, children who have been separated from their parents, or orphaned will be more at risk than ever. Please join Australia’s first Freedom Climb next Saturday, or be a sponsor to help raise funds for OM to assist people at risk, right around the world.

Liz MahanidisI have been working with OMA HQ for about 18 years and apart from my own work in helping people get to the field, I have been learning about what is going on in the world and been able to pray about many ministries and events going on in OM internationaly. I have also had the privilege of visiting teams engaged in transforming work amongst the poor and oppressed and more recently, with victims of modern-day slavery. I have been especially impacted by the growing number of innocent victims and my heart cries out to God on behalf of the many women and children caught up in this evil trade. I want to be able to do more than pray for them. So, by joining the Freedom Climb I am able to raise awareness and funds to help provide freedom and a new life for those trapped in modern-day slavery. I hope to be a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves. I am looking forward to joining others on the climb on November 16. If you would like to join me on the climb or sponsor me, I would so appreciate any support you able to offer. Thank you!

I have relocated back to Wodonga to have more time with my 2 children & 3 grandchildren. I work part-time nursing and am glad to participate in raising awareness & money to help free women & children from abuse & slavery.

Lauren EnrightI always had a passion for social justice as a young girl. Now as a young adult, I am following through this passion with my Social Science studies commencing next year at university. The Freedom Climb is a great practical way to start living out my beliefs about assisting the downtrodden and voiceless in our world.

Alyson BaileyI have been working with OM for over two decades and the world has changed a lot in that time.  What hasn’t changed is God’s call to reach out to those who are poor and oppressed.  God’s heart to transform lives has not changed either – and He’s doing it as much today as ever.  By joining the Freedom Climb I am able to raise awareness and funds to help free those living in modern-day slavery, thus providing a way for God to transform lives.  I can’t think of a better purpose for which to spend my life than to help make transformation possible!  I look forward to the climb on November 16.  Please feel free to sponsor me if you can … I am very grateful for any support you can offer.

Jacob ChoiMy wife, Debbie, and I have previously been involved with OM and love hearing the testimonies of those impacted by the work they do. We are looking forward to Freedom Climb in Australia and trust that the funds raised will make a difference to many women and children around the world.
